The restaurant’s vibrancy is felt in both the menu and the décor. The colorful and authentic Day of the Dead themed atmosphere is highlighted with artwork from local artists, pre-loved refurbished furniture collected from the Central Florida area, and handmade tables by Chef John.
With Juliana at the creative helm, elements of their life, their experiences are brought together in a place to celebrate their mutual love of food and drink. The Calloways are excited to welcome you into an environment that evokes the memories of Mexico, South America, and their family.
Husband and wife team, John and Juliana Calloway have dreamt about the Farm to Taco concept for years and are thrilled to have Black Rooster be part of the Orlando community.
Chef John Calloway’s modern take on Mexican cuisine* is a culinary celebration of the country’s culture and history. Every dish is a twist on Latin flavor and made from the highest quality ingredients he can get his hands on. Alongside John, Ryder Calloway, (eight years old, respectively) the restaurant’s “Chief Tasting Officer”, and Lily June their two year old and in house “Guacamole Connoisseur” have hand picked some of the restaurant’s art as well helped in the creation of a few recipes.
